Sussex Ornithological Society is organising a breeding Corn Bunting survey for 2024. In Sussex, Corn Buntings are a scarce breeding bird of arable farmland and semi-natural grasslands, and the strongest populations are on the South Downs. The last full county-wide survey was carried out in 2014. There are over 100 2x2km squares (tetrads) to survey.
To get started, have a look at the survey instructions and view the county map to see the available survey squares.
